Oh My, Yanni!

Electrified Laser Defense System

This Portal Denial System was created by Ionatron and uses a laser-induced plasma channel to electrocute anybody that steps in its path. It fires a laser across an opening to create a conductive stream of plasma which acts as a virtual wire. Because the plasma is conductive, it can be used to fire a lethal or "less lethal" shot of electricity, electrocuting anybody that crosses the beam. Unfortunately, this thing is only authorized for sale to the US government. It's almost as if they don't trust people to install these things in their homes. Hey, I almost got my VCR working, so I'm pretty sure I can handle something as simple as an electrified laser beam. C'mon now!

Air Guitar Pro

The Air Guitar Pro is a guitar designed for air guitarists that actually plays music. You hold the chord buttons on the fretboard and then strum the air. Infrared sensors in the neck detect the hand motions and it plays the note. If you're not into playing your own music it also comes with preloaded tracks. The final product will ship in July but importer HimeyaShop is taking pre-orders now for about $27. Although actually playing music kind of defeats the purpose of an air guitar. It's like having an imaginary friend who's also a real person. Who wants that!

DH1 Disaster House

Designer Gregg Fleishman has designed this DH1 Disaster House, which is a 14 square foot shelter built out of sustainable European birch. The entire thing assembles without fasteners, which makes it especially useful in emergency situations. Plus I've always wanted to live in a home random people could walk by and disassemble.

Kickbar Diamonds For Your Shoes

Are you a ridiculous human being? Then you'll enjoy Kickbars, which are jewel-encrusted shoelace clips made with emeralds, sapphires, rubies, or diamonds set in white gold. The Kickbar features a 2 carat rectangular bar fitted with 54 diamonds and costs $7,500. Although I can't figure out who the market for this is. Anybody dumb enough to buy a $7,500 shoelace clip couldn't possibly have $7,500 saved up. Heck, I'd be surprised if they had $7.50 saved up. The only thing they'd have in their savings account is a half-eaten hamburger.
